The Veil Brewing Company is located in Richmond, Virginia. Over the last year or so, The Veil managed to maintain their popularity while significantly increasing their beer production. The Veil Brewing Company focuses on creating hop-forward ales and sour beer styles but are able to craft a delicious stout, too. Today, we are providing our thoughts on Mang Boy Tastee, which is a fruited sour beer with lactose added. Mangos and boysenberry were added during secondary fermentation.

Appearance:

Mang Boy Tasted poured a deep red color in our Silhouette Stout & IPA Glass. The sour beer produced a thin tinted head but dissipated very quickly.

Nose:

As the head started to dissipate in the IPA glassware, the sour beer released bright berry, mango, and acidic aromas.

Palate:

Wonderful flavors of sweet dark berries and slight hints of mango leads into a somewhat dry tartness that rounds this sour beer out.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, The Veil Brewing Company's Mang Boy Tastee is a fruit-forward sour beer with milk sugar added. We appreciated the fact that the beer was not overly sweet but felt that the Boysenberries significantly overpowered the Mango. We would definitely purchase this beer again.

We recommend visiting one of The Veil Brewing Company in locations in Richmond, Virginia.

Our Recommendations:
