If the bag isn’t clear → keep them in it.
If the bag lets light in → don’t use it.

If you leave it open all day → flavor gone.

If your beans can see sunlight → they’re dying.
Cupboards > counters. Always.

Never store beans:
In the fridge
In the freezer (unless portioned and sealed)
Near the sink
Near the stove
If water touches beans → game over.
Whole beans stay fresh longer.
If you grind early → staling starts immediately.
Grind right before brewing. Every time.

Store beans below eye level — less light exposure
Don’t “decant weekly” — repeated transfers add oxygen
